Marguerite Burns has been craving outdoor adventures since she was a young girl. Whether she was sailing, sailboarding, snowboarding, rock climbing, trail running, kayaking, hiking or biking, she has always felt most at home being out in nature.

She has over 35 years of experience leading adventures for both young and old, working with children, youth and adults, coaching trail running, teaching outdoor education and taking youth on multiday canoeing and backpacking trips. She has empowered women of all ages in outdoor adventuring with training and facilitating ‘women only’ trips from single day to multiday backpacking.

Along with her years of experience, she is Paddle Canada Sea Kayak and Wilderness First Responder Certified and is recognized by the Outdoor Council of Canada as a Respected Outdoor Leader.

She loves nothing more than sharing her love for the great outdoors with other adventure seekers, from beginner to advanced, on well-planned and awe-inspiring excursions, along with her trusty adventure dog Polly.

Come see New Brunswick through their eyes - the way it should be seen!

In Step Adventures acknowledges that we carry out our work, play and creation stewardship on the traditional unceded territory of the Wolastoqiyik, Mi’kmaq and Peskotomuhkati peoples. This territory was covered by the “Treaties of Peace and Friendship” and signed by these first nations in 1726. The Treaties recognized Mi’kmaq and Wolastoqiyik title and established the rules for what was to be an ongoing relationship between nations.

Therefore, we pay respect to the elders, past and present, and descendants of this land, honouring their knowledge and endeavouring to learn from their wisdom regarding its ongoing stewardship and protection for future generations.
